The motel is across the road from the Golf Course. We found it quite entertaining watching the golfers cross the road with their remote controlled golf carts.

“Van taxis” are the way to go. Lots of room for Seavo, our luggage and us. The driver was very helpful and was quite happy to life our heavy bags.

The ferry is just arriving. We love the bag for Seavo which has robust wheels and is easy to move. A woman in Washington State makes these bags, which are custom designed for Rans Seavo tandems.

marilyn swettThat bag sounds interesting, although our Seavo is not coupled. We had a hard sided case that fit our Screamer which did have couplers. We only flew with that tandem a few times in the US and despite the hard case, had damage to the wheels a couple of times. We're no longer touring since we bought an Airstream trailer and are only doing day rides. But I love reading about your travels!

Entering Active Pass with Mayne Island in sight. We are just making a stop at Galiano Island to drop passengers. We lived and worked on Galiano for many years before moving to Saltspring Island.

Sturdies Bay terminal. After we moved to Saltspring, ME commuted to Galiano by water taxi to work at the school. The small building on the right is the waiting room where she would wait for the water taxi to take her home….warm and comfortable.

Our ferry for the Tsawwassen run to the Southern Gulf Islands is one of the newer additions to the fleet. It is called the Salish Heron and it, as well as the Salish Eagle were built in Poland.

Our good friends, Leslie and Chris kindly picked us up with their large truck…Seavo sized! It is wonderful to see the friendly faces of good friends when you return from a long journey.
