Ooh, Utica Boilermaker shirt! I used to run that race every year back in the late 80’s/early 90’s.
1 year agoYes we are glad we made it over the mountains and yes did see the view. It feels good to be back in our old stomping grounds. Will be glad to get to stay with friends .
1 year agoGlad to hear you made it over the Green Mountains. I hope you had a chance to stop and check out the view from the top of Hogback. And nice to see some pics showing you made it to some Brattleboro hot spots!
1 year agoIt’s exhausting to read of ALL the hills….cannot fathom it day after day.
You are admired for your fortitude….and for the just rewards at the day’s end!! Wishing you more smiling faces, kind new friends, a few laughs and a great day of riding on the last day of August, 2023!
A&P
Sorry we missed you. It would have been awesome to meet you. Yes the hills were pushers but we did have a biking Angel.
1 year agoWelcome to Vermont, and welcome to Brattleboro. If I weren’t currently out of town, I would say you should stop by and say hello. Unfortunately you’re going to deal with some pretty hefty climbing to get from Bennington to Brattleboro.
1 year agoWe think you should sing as you hike in the rain tomorrow. Just think of all the ‘rain’ songs you could come up with: rain, rain go away/ I’m singin’ in the rain/ Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain/ somewhere over the rainbow/ raindrops keep falling on my head…you will have fun coming up with them! Come on, Hub: you will! And then your self will have you sopping wet but smiling; music does that! So does flipping the Eagle! 🤣
Wishing you a great and joyful day; wish we were there! (And Ava’s team won all three sets! Lilly’s won one, lost two…but both teams were such fun to watch!!). A&P
Congratulations to Ava. What an accomplishment. Glad you got to see the game. It’s always exciting watching the games . Our daughter was big into soccer. Yes, we try to find sandwiches the night before but tonight we didn’t see anyplace to buy them so will hope we find a place tomorrow
1 year agoJust reading this now (Tuesday aft) on our way to Sparta, WI (2 hr drive) to watch our two oldest granddaughters play volleyball. Can’t remember why we didn’t get to it last night — always such an adventurous read. Love the tunnel pics! Our Ava (a senior) scired her 1000th assist as a setter and her 500th kill at a vb tourney this weekend—learned it’s a big deal, as they stopped the match and everyone applauded! She was humbled and embarrassed…but proud. So….we decided we wanted to see them play more! Anyway, we will grab sandwiches once there, eat our meal like you do, and head to their matches. Both play: one at 5:30 and one at 7.
And surely Phillip and Annie are sent from above …. to remind you of A&P and the bird connection!
Wishing you another stupendous day of riding as you enter a new state!! Wow!

Gary said he saw it but I did not so sorry I don’t have a picture
1 year agoDid you see the Beechnut baby food factory in Canajoharie? I’d like that building.
1 year agoBarely a ripple in the water.
1 year agoThese are some great architectural photos. I really like that church. I have to say having grown up in that area and seeing the changes over time, it is a pretty depressed area. But seeing it through your eyes, it looks interesting. Aspects of it quite lovely.
1 year agoYes as usually the males have bright er colors
