Lol, yes I had a few choice words. I was very much focusing on get it done as I was so over that day it would have been easy to have just given up, but I wanted a hot shower more.

Hi Julie, thanks for your lovely comments. No I don't think I'd bother with the solar panel again. Partly because I really didn't have sunny enough days during this trip to make use of it. Partly because I stayed mostly in caravan parks or other places I could charge stuff. Also my power bank has enough juice to charge my mobiles and lights at least twice. If I was concerned I'd just take a second power bank instead. The solar panel wasn't nearly large enough to charge the bike.

Just had another read of your journal. This is my type of e-bike cycling journey. Well done to you and Lexi. Impressed with how you linked the rail trails and the planning it must have taken. Could you comment on your solar panels please. Were they worth taking given weight? How effective are they charging your battery when the sun is out? I was wondering what you were charging as you travelled along too? Thx

Very much enjoying reading about your journey. What a great achievement. For a fellow e-bike tourer, very inspiring. Thx for doing the journal. Happy travels for what comes next.

Wow! You made it, Congratz, Brianna! In 1983, I took train from sydney to marulan (I think) & cycled to Bundanoon - on the night Bob Hawke was elected Prime Minister! Also really like Bundanoon. Happy Travels back to SA, Esther

The scenery was stunning with the mountains and autumn colours. But yes the closer I got to Canberra the more traffic and sus driving I saw.

The road names around the Canberra region bring back memories. I lived in Canberra in the mid 80s. Monaro Highway was particular dangerous during the ski season. Lots of Sydney traffic in their BMW, Mercs etc doing 14o kph on Fridays and Sundays to and from the ski resorts.

Hey Brianna, Bonang Rd looked scary. I would have been vulnerable when the road veered to the left.

Thanks Mike for clearing that up. Yes, it looked like a great idea. Cars wete expecting to stop and let others reverse in to park, that had the effect of slowing down the traffic for pedestrians. Plus cars could see cycles like me riding along the road before pulling out

Yes, it is a NSW regulation and makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
