Looks like a great egret

Likely a princess tree. Lilacs do not get that big.

Hey, we just saw our first lilac tree in bloom today too!
12 hours agoI hope there's enough breeze to keep the mosquitoes at bay. They're vicious little brutes out there.
12 hours agoThanks for the look at the Chincoteague-Assateague area. I was born there when my dad was in the Navy but moved away less than a year later. We came back for a visit when I was about 10 years-old, but the only thing I remember about that trip was looking for the wild horses and not finding them. I'm sure glad we didn't stay at the stinky Pine Grove Campground.

2 days agoI agree, and will say we've never had an uncomfortable conversation with a WarmShowers host. We might have had differing world views with a some but have found common ground with all of them.
2 days agoI look forward to reading all about your tour whenever I come up for air on this one. Even better - hearing about it if the stars align on the possibility of our meetup in a couple weeks. I'll email about the schedule.

I liked it better as a paradox, but whatever makes you happy is good.
I read Misty of Chincoteague when was in grade school.
