Hmmm … how to introduce … what to include?

My cycling habit began with a Schwinn Stingray that took me everywhere, at least where I was allowed to go. Then a Schwinn Continental arrived and my limits expanded and I completed my first bike tour of 400 miles and 3 major mountain passes in Colorado including Trail Ridge Road. 

But like many, I turned 16 and bought a truck and didn’t return to my cycling for another 10 years. One upright led to another to my Bianchi which led me to 3 mini tours in my home state of Alaska, all 400 miles each, all from my front door. 

Then … wondered and pondered … a Vision recumbent came home and a 10 year journey began, a cross country trip from Oregon to Virginia was added and cycling really became normal, a daily event. Trips of the Natchez Trace, the eastern postal road and the Lewis and Clark followed by a Great Lakes tour that ended at the Terratrike factory in Michigan. Enter the first recumbent trike … followed by the another folding recumbent trike followed by the first ICE trike and then four more. 

At this point we’ve now cycled all 50 states and with well over 12,000 miles of touring and the ideas just keep coming.
