About

I am a retired but sprightly civil engineer who has had a life long (so far anyway) relationship with cycling.  From early ages jumping over friends, Evel Knievel style, to hard road climbs in the Alps to 3300km touring round Europe as a 60th birthday present.

  I intend to keep this relationship going.

2023 saw Santander to Athens as my first long tour and only my 2nd ever tour.  2024/25 beckons with plans of Hanoi - Bangkok allowed a revisit to Vietnam where I spent most of my time over the Covid period.

Home is south-east Scotland although my wife and I do travel quite a lot covering home territory around Scotland, some of the UK, Europe and further afield.  Recent trips have included Australia with Canada schedule for summer 2024.
