My name is Ian Gordon and I am a 62 year old guy who has either taken a 6 month sabbatical from work or maybe just stopped working altogether. Hoping this adventure will help me decide. 

This trip is a lifetime bucket list for me and I am grateful that Mrs G (my wife of 39 years) has sanctioned my journey.

My route will take me from Astoria, OR to Nags Head, NC. I’ve have put together a route that leverages the TransAm and the Atlantic coast maps. 

I’ve been training and planning for 6 months and I’m fully aware that “plans are suggestions and life is what actually happens”. 

This trip is not about time, speed or distance…it’s about the journey!
