About

I'm a 65 yo husband/father/grandfather/farmer/HS basketball coach who has been cycling since my early 50's.  I caught the touring bug shortly after.  Love to see new places and the experiences that are unique to bike travel.  I enjoy the challenge of long distance cycling and have participated in Randonneuring events for the last 5 years. In 2019, I entered the Trans Am Bike Race and completed the route in 28 days 5+ hours. 

My bike of choice has changed over the few years I've been at this thing.  Started with a Trek road bike.  Got smarter and purchased a Surly LHT.  Then went over the the ultralight side.  My current ride of choice is a Specialized Diverge.
