About

I'd like to introduce myself as a pretty serious cyclist.  I'm pretty serious about riding my bike, especially to places where beer is.

Cycletouring is fun for me and it beats working (by a lot).  I've managed to cover a few miles.  Some highlights include the Katy Trail in Missouri, the Grand Illinois Trail, and a smattering of other rides in and around the Milwaukee, Chicago, Northwest Indiana Metroplex.  I haven't written much about my rides.   Perhaps that should change.  I do have some silly bike stuff up at https://blog.randobeering.com.

Some riders/writers I enjoy are Joy Santee, Jeff Lee, Jeff Arnim, Mike Riscica, Gregory Garceau, and Kim Johnson.  I have more than one of Jeff Arnim's photos as desktop wallpaper.
