Day 2 New Iberia to Brou Bridge

Wow, what a day. Short ride but Cal had a flat; wire. Otherwise good ride. At the moment I am listenibg to the loudest Zydeco band ever know to mankind, but will labor thru. Saw the Evangeline Oak at St Martinsville, where they were having a marathon bible read. Cal tried to talk a priest into a ticket to hravan but instead contemplated his future at a LA graveyard.
At Breau Bridge we dined at Chez Jaquelne; kissed Nellie on bald head; twice. Included a “before” picture. Seafood Jambalaya. Free crawdaddie boil saw Cal surrounded by, guess, beauties, who taught him how eat crawdaddies.
Then he found Hinault and insisted I take his pic with the champion. The Zydeco is everwhere! Dyin so loud. Tonight gotta be some cajun!!!!

breau Bridge to Arnaudville

The Zydeco went on and on last night. The band was RockinDopsie jr. and they put up a terrific show, albeit loud. A huge rainstorm passed thru and while it threatened rain all day we were mostly dry. We rode thru lots of bayou country today, capped by a stop at the Atchafaula swamp. Cal turned down a free tour, electing to ride with me. Nellie joined us later so we were a trio the last half of the ride.
Lots of cafes have bands as well playing Cajun music. We’ll have another band tonight. The event should have been outdoors but the rains and north wind instead is occupying our indoor sleeping building. Won’t be able to get to our gear until afterwards. Gonna be tough for me cause my beddiebye time is usually 9:00pm.
Cold fron tomorrow means a cold ride which we weren’t anticipated, but we are tough😜
