Day 30 Rest Day in DeRidder, LA
Sunny day - good for cleaning our bikes in the hotel parking lot.
We are at a Best Western near a strip mall and Walmart. There is a "real" town about 2 miles away, but we decided to truly rest today. I did explore a bit and went to this park that we passed riding in.

When we enter a new state, Dennis treats us to "happy hour", but we entered Louisiana on Sunday and this town is dry on Sunday, so we postponed the "party" to this evening.
We ended up driving to a cajun restaurant in downtown which was quite charming.
The new courthouse was built right next to the old courthouse which apparently was the site of many hangings.
