Madera Canyon hike

Madera canyon is a wonderful place to hike! The trails are great with lots to see along the way.

I love these bridges along the way! There can be a lot of running water from snow melt but not today.

This stream was the only place I saw water.

This is what a lot of the trail looked like.

When I get back to the car, the window is open but there’s no Scott. When I look again at my Garmin it looks like he’s not very far away but still not moving. I’m starting to get worried but unfortunately, I still can’t reach him by phone. There’s a nice couple in the parking lot I chat with while I’m waiting. About 10 minutes later he rolls in. He’d been having coffee and cookies at a lodge nearby. What a relief. It turns out I misremembered when we were going to meet to go to lunch.
