Day 6 - Rest Day in Canyon Lake
Today was a much needed rest day. Pat and Blake were gracious enough to put up with us for another day. It has been a nice break and we were able to get some "chores" done.
This area of Texas has been in a drought for about 3 years and Canyon Lake is down about 28 feet below normal. All of the boat ramps for the lake are closed, and only one marina has the ability to float their docks out to keep the boats in the slips in water. Canyon Lake has beautiful clear water but there is no access to the water to enjoy at all.

The rest of the day consisted of doing laundry, some bike maintenance, and a much needed nap. After napping, we went through the route options and figured out a plan for tomorrow, before heading out for dinner with our great hosts. It was a full day!
We'll be back on the bikes in the morning and it will feel good to turn the pedals.
