An Amazing Place - Hell Creek / Missouri Breaks

Tina did some research and found this place about 20 miles north of Jordan. This is a whole new world. For me, it was as unique as going through the Grand Canyon, Zion, Arches, etc.

This little jackrabbit hopped up to us very slowly, wiggled his nose for awhile, then zoomed by us at full speed.

The following is from Wikipedia: The Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument is a national monument in the western United States, ..., it is a series of badland areas characterized by rock outcroppings, steep bluffs, and grassy plains; a topography referred to as "The Breaks" (as the land appears to "break away" to the river).

The Missouri is dammed in this area creating a huge lake with extensive inlets/arms. We are in one of them. If it weren't so far away from home, it would be a treat to do a float through some of this area.

This is the main road of the town of Jordan. The lack of trees and wide streets make it look desolate but it isn't.
