Waihi Beach
Waiting out the wind
Today was definitely a chill day. The sou’wester making conditions quite unpleasant for anything except staying in and reading. We venture out in the hope that wind blasts on the beach might have abated a little, but avoiding being sandblasted was a great incentive for heading back inside, although we did spot some swimmers further down the beach, as well as a gigantic black swan out on the water, so large I had to wonder if it was an escaped inflatable. Dinner from the local curry restaurant provided great compensation for the breezy day.
