Deer Lake to Woody Point:
Southern side of Bonne Bay
We had good weather but a busy road heading east out of Deer Lake. The minimal shoulder coupled with the heavy truck traffic took something away from the scenery.

Our destination for the day was the southern side of Bonne Bay in Gros Morne National Park. We turned left on to Rt. 431 at a little intersection named Wiltondale and immediately benefited from significantly less traffic but some more robust climbs.

We dove out of the hills and to cycle along Bonne Bay estuary.

There were small hamlets on the narrow roller-coaster road all along the bay.
We stayed at the newly renovated Bonne Bay Inn in Woody Point.

After a short walk down to Woody Point we found a few small restaurants.
