FUNNY how things turn out. We planned to go to Burma but we went to Vietnam instead. Oh, and a bit of Cambodia, which turned out unlucky. And then we reckoned on riding south to north through Vietnam (and Cambodia) only to do it the other way round.

There was a good reason for all that and much, if I remember to tell you, you'll discover if you plough on through what follows. The one thing I won't explain there, because I'll tell you now, is that we didn't go to Burma because it turned out too expensive to get there and potentially too problematic once there.

We haven't ruled it out, though. But there are a lot of countries in the world and Burma will have to take its place in the queue. But thanks for getting this far. There are no prizes for persevering until the end but, with no small amount of conceit, I hope you will.
