Thredbo - ski resort area with mountain bike trails. YHA hostel, several cafes, small supermarket, can ride down valley to camping areas on singletrack.

Jindabyne - Woolworths, plenty of cafes, couple bakeries, newsagent, chemist, post office, national park office, 2 caravan parks - both expensive and not real great sites, plenty of motels and lodges.

Barry Way - camping areas spaced out all along the road - get water at Jacobs or Pinch River to avoid the water in the Snowy River. Treat all water. Treat water at Suggan Buggan for climb out if heading south toward Wulgulmerang or to avoid needing to treat Snowy River water for ride north. Treat water at Jacobs River for climb out to north to Jindabyne.
