Looking at the ride map above, I don't have to tell you we aborted this ride and headed back to Defiance before we reached our planned turn around in Paulding.

We were having yet another quite windy day. We thought we could fight the wind the first eight miles, then have less of a headwind the last ten miles into Paulding. NOT! The wind was relentless and wore us down. After thirteen miles, Kerry stopped and said he'd had all he was willing to take and we turned around. Then the ride became great. A tailwind pushed us back to Defiance in no time.

We were approaching this which looked like a cattle barn when we decided it had to be pigs. It had quite a distinctive aroma. It was hard to see inside, but it did look like cattle.

And this is the Paulding County Courthouse, which we didn't reach. Kerry pulled this photo off the internet.
