Day 8 - Belmont, MS to Hohenwald, TN

Another day, two more states. This was the longest segment of our trip (92 miles), the temperature matched the mileage, we had a headwind most of the day and traffic was heavier than we had previously seen. However, it was still an enjoyable ride, but by the end of the day I was tired.
We had lunch at a Mexican Restaurant in Collinwood, where it was John's turn to eat too much. After his post yesterday about me, I could only laugh and had no sympathy for him as we rode the last 30 miles to our cabin. I actually felt great after sharing a taco salad with Jeanna, but boy I was tempted to have the chili rellenos.
Somewhere along the way, and I'm not sure where, the nature of the forests has changed. Throughout most of Mississippi the forests were pine with a scattering of hardwood. By the end of the day today, the forests were all hardwoods. The change must have to do with the elevation, because it certainly isn't any cooler.
We reached our cabin in Hohenwald well after 6 PM. Jeanna & John prepared a spaghetti dinner around 9 PM because John was not hungry until them.
We had no internet service which is why this post is late.
