Today we started our riding adventure on the Natchez Trace Parkway. We just about had the entire road to ourselves. No headwinds and temps in the 80's. Every day should be this nice.
This is where we stopped for lunch. Jeanna met us at this picnic table. Since I don't have audio feed on this blog I will input the conversation here. Jeanna, "Kerry did you put on your sunscreen". Kerry, "Yes sweetpea". Jeanna, " Kerry did you drink plenty of water??" Kerry, Yes sweetpea". ETC, ETC.... You get the picture.
We rolled into Port Gibson around 3 PM. We are staying at Isabella Bed and Breakfast on 1009 Church Street. As we got off our bikes the proprietor Bobbye Pinnix asked, "Would you like a bowl of berry cobbler with ice cream". I asked Kerry to wake me up because I am in a dream. When was the last time you got off your bike and someone served you berry cobbler with ice cream?? It was utterly awesome.
This is the room I am staying in. This bed and breakfast is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Ms. Bobbye spent about an hour with us educating us regarding the history of this house. Too much info to put into this blog. Very cool house, very nice owner. This place is utterly awesome.
