Day 73 Machias, ME

Today was a much happier day.  We were aggravation free all day.  Kerry figured out to get his TyreWiz working again.  The  afternoon thunderstorms in the forecast didn't start until well after we checked in. The staff at the Machias River Inn were friendly and welcoming and the bike rolled right into our room.

There were no places to visit on the way today, so we just rode and I took a few pictures of places we passed.

We've had some really terrible road surfaces in the last few days, especially the shoulders. This was great!

My Maine native friend Stan tells me this is called a blueberry barren.

We get to New Brunswick tomorrow.  We'll have to come up with a new answer to the question "Where are you going?" because we've been answering "Canada." since we left home.

Today's ride: 51 miles (82 km)
Total: 2,795 miles (4,498 km)
