Day 131 Caledonia, ON

We said good-bye to Dave and Sharon this morning and headed up out of town. We climbed 600 feet in four miles. It wasn't steep, just long. It was nice that it was a holiday so the traffic was light.
We got out into the country about 10 miles into the ride. We saw the usual farms and animals
and some crops I don't think we'd seen yet in Ontario
We also saw a lot of cyclists today. We must have been on a popular local cycling route. We didn't see anyone who appeared to be traveling.
You can also see that we had some stretches of rough pavement today.
We're staying in Caledonia tonight which is on the Grand River.
I wasn't successful in getting decent pictures, but the river near town was busy with canoes, boats and jet skis.

Kerry had found a Grand Trunk Railway museum in Caledonia. When we rode there, it was just a refurbished train station and it was closed.
Another of our snow bird friends, Michael, is driving over to ride with us tomorrow. We'll be following the Grand River to Lake Erie.
Today's ride: 43 miles (69 km)
Total: 4,886 miles (7,863 km)
