We had a great time riding with Pierre today. We left with the threat of rain/thunderstorms, but stayed dried all the way. In fact, just as I'm writing this about two hours after we arrived, it's raining like crazy here. So, we were very fortunate today.
Leaving Sherbrooke, we took a bike trail along the Magog River. It was a good trail - wide and clean and not too busy with pedestrians.
West of Sherbrooke, we passed another of the seven dams that are on the river. I captured a fisherman at this one.
We had some hills to climb and some rough asphalt to ride on, but we made it to the town of Magog about halfway along today's route. Magog is at the north end of Lac Memphremagog, a large lake which extends south into Vermont.
Magog is a tourist oriented town with a good bike tail all through town.

On the edge of town, we saw a scene that looked like home.

We arrived here at our B&B - but learned it no longer serves breakfast. Our bike was too big for the storage room. The owner speaks no English. What a good time to have a French speaking friend along! All our little issues were resolved and we are comfortably in our room watching it rain. We had time to make trip to a local market, so we are set for supper and breakfast. It will be a cozy evening.
Today's ride: 41 miles (66 km)
Total: 4,277 miles (6,883 km)
