Gearing up
One of the things that's fun about planning a long tour is getting some new gear. We have had new jerseys made for each Two Far adventure. These are ordered for Two Far 2018:

The big new piece of gear for us will be our new Rans Seavo recumbent tandem. We've been working with Rans for a few months on various options. After a lot of discussion with them, we have learned that getting a belt drive is not going to happen. We love the Gates belts on our Co-Motion Equator and were really hoping to have belts for the Seavo. We are going to get a Rohloff hub, though, which will be great. Kerry says that is more important to him than the belt drive. We are keeping the faith that the bike will be ready in time for our departure in May. If not, our Equator will take us through the Rust Belt in style, if not in real comfort for Kerry.
