Frankenfender - Two Far 2018 - Trailing through the Rust Belt - CycleBlaze

Frankenfender

The forecast called for a 90% chance of rain today, with T-storms all afternoon. We decided to trim off the last 59 miles of our planned 60 mile route. This allowed us to arrive high and dry at a motel a mile down the road from where we stayed last night.

Our new location featured a nice front porch, perfect for tinkering with the bikes.

The workshop.

Armed with a bottle of super glue, Kerry decided to create a new frankenfender from the remains of the fender that had fallen apart after traveling 50 feet back in Traverse City.

Nearly perfect, except for one missing piece.

Given that the forecast for tomorrow also calls for rain, we may soon have a chance to put the refurbished fender to the test.
