We had another beautiful day of cycling in the UP. Our route today was much shorter than yesterday's, so we were looking forward to a great day.
The sun was still low as we rode east at 8:30.
Here are a few pictures of the scenery today.

We visited the Michigan Iron Industry Museum near Marquette on the way in this afternoon. It was an interesting look at the history of iron mining in the UP. There were exhibits about iron mining from the mid 1800's ti the present day. Right now, there is only one active iron mine in Michigan.

After a few nights of fair to middling roadside motels through northern Wisconsin and Michigan, we're at a very nice Hampton Inn in Marquette with a beautiful view of Lake Superior.
We also have a creative housekeeper.
We have a rest/sightseeing day here tomorrow and then will leave for Munising on Tuesday.
Today's ride: 45 miles (72 km)
Total: 2,488 miles (4,004 km)
