Day 52 Three Lakes, MI

We had a very good ride today. It was our longest planned ride of the trip, though we did ride farther earlier in Iowa due to our "bonus miles" detour.
The weather could not have been better and we had a smooth, carefree day on the bikes.
We rode miles through heavily wooded countryside with a few very small towns along the way.

We stopped for a cold drink in the little town of Kenton. There was a bar and grill with a memorable name.
We didn't go in there, but went across the street to Hoppy's Bar. The bartender there had clearly been working on her sarcastic comebacks to patrons. I thought this one was really funny: A man sitting at the bar asked her about a senior discount and she told him she charged seniors double because they wouldn't be around long and she had to make as much money as possible off of them while she could!
We enjoyed reading all the signs behind the bar.
It was a good day.
Today's ride: 72 miles (116 km)
Total: 2,443 miles (3,932 km)
