Day 97 Niceville to Panama City
We were really back to Florida cycling today. There were not many hills and most of the climbing we did was getting over bridges.

We rode along the beach from Destin to Panama City Beach. There are so many huge condo buildings in places you can hardly see the water from the street.

Along with the condos are the stores and restaurants to serve all the people who visit. I know it is an economic benefit to the Panhandle and the state of Florida, but it seems a shame to destroy so much of the natural beauty of the coast with such massive development. At least there are several state parks which preserve some land for public use.
We had our second front tire blowout today. Just after leaving our lunch stop, we had a LOUD bang and there went the tire. It's the second time on this trip that we've had a sidewall failure with the Gator Hardshell tire.
Kerry got it changed with no problem, but that leaves us with no spare tire. He's checking now to see where we can get one tomorrow.
Today's ride: 71 miles (114 km)
Total: 4,650 miles (7,483 km)
