Day 92 Latimer to Mobile, AL
It was good to have the whole team back together again today.
We were glad to finish our miles in Mississippi without any pursuit by tandem eating dogs. The Southern Tier trip reports often mention scary dog chases in rural Mississippi, so we were very happy to have avoided that problem. We met a lot of nice people in Mississippi who went our of their way to thank us for visiting their towns. Business owners seem to really appreciate touring cyclists.
I haven't been taking many pictures recently, so when we came to a scenic river I asked Kerry to stop on the bridge so I could get some photos. There was Team A who had already spotted what I would have missed - a couple of alligators swimming along. I did manage to get one decent picture. Love bugs and gators - just like home. Now I want the FLAT roads too!
We made it back to Alabama today. We had a brief foray into the state as we rode the Natchez Trace Parkway. This time, we'll be here for two nights and get to enjoy more of the Alabama experience.
