Day 32 in Falls Church
We got back on the bikes today for a short ride up the W&OD to Herndon and back.It is good to see trails so well used. The trail was crowded with cyclists, walkers, runners, one skateboarder and one person on an elliptical bike. We even saw two other tandems. It doesn't make for easy cycling, but it does make a nice sense of community.
The stop in Herndon is another very bike centric place. There were many cyclists in the park, at various outdoor venues and pedaling all over the place. (A few Herndon pictures for you, Curt.)
We came back to the hotel, had some lunch, did laundry and started getting ready to hit the road again tomorrow. Kerry's sister and her family are coming in to have dinner with us tonight, then tomorrow we start our ride on the C&O Canal.
