Day 102: Drummondville, QC to Berthierville, QC
Today was an almost perfect cycling day. The road was flat, the sun was shining, the breeze was light and mainly behind us, the countryside was quiet and scenic, but it wasn't WARM. It was about 58 when we left and maybe 68 when we arrived.
We went through lots of farms again and a couple of small villages. We had miles where there were no cars at all.

We talked with two other touring cyclists - a guy from Montreal on a short tour to Quebec City and Anne, who left Vancouver in June and is traveling across Canada to Newfoundland.
Our route ended with a ferry ride across the St. Lawrence River between Sorel and Berthierville. It was the first time we've seen much of the commercial use of the river. We saw a ship being loaded with grain and a few other ships on the river as we went across.
We had an excellent vegetarian pizza at Mike's, a chain restaurant we've been seeing all over the place lately. Tomorrow we're staying here and taking life easy before we start up to the mountains later this week.
Today's ride: 44 miles (71 km)
Total: 4,119 miles (6,629 km)
