We survived Los Angeles! Thank goodness we were headed east. There was a car flipped over in the passing lanes of the west bound side and traffic was backed up for miles as we headed out. California drivers are sure in a hurry!

We stopped in Palm Desert at the Costco for gas. That line moved fast but it took us three times as long to get out of the parking lot! We zipped across the street to McDonalds for a pee and a snack. Very nice McDonalds. 

We have arrived in Blythe. I met a delightful couple owning and running the Rodeway here. They were computer nerds and grew tired of someone else being the boss so they bought this motel and they have fixed it up very nicely.
