Second Trip, Day 3 - Perry to Adel (Iowa)

Carl's bike fell over at some point last night and sustained some scratches.

Carl is a morning person, and walked over to the Scooter's Coffee Shop a few blocks away. They don't have indoor dining, only drive-through service, so he strolled up to the window and was waiting for them when they opened at 6:00. Back at the camp, he enjoyed sitting comfortably in the lawn chair, sipping on some coffee and reading the news. I enjoyed my early morning even more than him since I continued sleeping an additional couple of hours and didn't have to experience it.

The forecast called for rain, but other than about two minutes of a light mist, we didn't see any.

The path from Perry to Waukee is a straight shot with no turns or curves. We stopped at The Handlebar in Dallas City for lunch but I didn't get any pictures because at that time I didn't think I was on a "tour."
