An interesting statue in the neighbouring town of Rathenow.

Decaying, abandoned building/factory from the Soviet Era....a common sight in this area.

We met this lovely couple from Berlin who are riding to Hamburg, Ulrich Brasche and his wife (sorry, can't remember your name!).

The route has been detoured due to construction - we were able to help them find their way. Ulrich and his wife are like most cyclists, riding in the opposite direction to us.

We kept pace with this tractor and passed him (it felt good to be riding faster than 20 km/hr on our loaded bike.

We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw these portable toilets by the trail. It is a rarity. Love the drawings of the man and woman.

These ferries are a civilized way to travel.

Germany has wonderful pictorial signage along the road. Do drive carefully and leave the trees in peace.

This is what Barry looks like fresh off the bike - hot and needing a stretch.
