Day 63 Chatham Ontario Canada to Brantford Ontario Canada
It was 61° when we got up this morning. I walked outside to check and see if it was warm enough for one jacket but it was not. We left and went right across the street to Tim Horton’s for our chocolate chip muffins. Once we packed them away for later we headed out back on route 40. It was the same route as yesterday. I can’t remember how many miles we went when the GPS wanted us to turn right and stay on route 40. Hubs decided we would stay straight which put us on route 2. It was a Beautiful ride today. Our shoulder was not great but the road was and so was the scenery. Everything was so pristine, whether it’s the homes or crops. The grass was so green everywhere and in the last 2 days I only saw 3 pieces of litter. Yesterday and today we kept seeing windmills, miles and miles of them. I wonder if the owners of the land they are on get any compensation for them being there? We also went by housing for cannabis. It was huge. Yesterday when we got off the ferry and road only 3 miles we saw 6 cannabis stores. Found out today it is legal throughout all of Canada. We went by a historical site of a cemetery that was established in 1812 and only had one grave. They must have been an important person. It was a good day to stop and get an ice cream so we did. As we were riding we were coming upon something that we were trying to figure out what it was. Hubs thought it might be an outdoor chess set. Turns out it was another cemetery. We had to stop and investigate. It was neat. Hubs got carried away with the pictures. As we were coming into Melbourne we came upon a different style water tower. We had gone 38 miles when we decided to call Randy to come get us. We told him we would still be biking and he would see us on the road. It would take him over an hour to get to us which gave us time to get in a bit over 50 miles. It was great seeing him as it has been 4 years since the last time we have been together. Debra had to work today so we will get together with the both of them tomorrow. It’s funny as when our bags are on the bikes it doesn’t look like that much stuff but seeing them in the

back seat of the truck it looked like tons of stuff. By getting in the 50+ miles today it gave us a new milestone. Tomorrow will be a day off.
Today's ride: 50 miles (80 km)
Total: 1,008 miles (1,622 km)
