Our little home for the night in the town park

We had to leave our bikes outside last night so we made sure that we covered our seats. It’s a good thing as the dew got everything else wet. We had a 70+ mile day and were very happy to see we would be having a TAIL WIND!!!! It was glorious. I am doing the blog early as we have to tent in the town park and there isn’t any Wi-Fi. We are sitting in a tavern right now so we can get Wi-Fi. When we left Gackle we were told that we would be going up giraffe hill, meaning it was long. Then it was just rolling along at a great pace. We had a climb at mile 27 which was a good one. Then around 50 miles we stopped for lunch and it wasn’t even noon yet. Around mile 57 we saw a biker coming our way. We stopped to chat. His name is Spencer and he started in The Florida Keys. He wants to ride all of the National Parks and he will eventually end up in Maine. It’s funny as he was just starting his day. It was 12:30 pm. He plans on being out for 16-18 months. Hubs asked him how he can do it. He has lived in his van for 3 years and works full time planning for this. He eats lots of couscous and quinoa. He also camps a lot. Good luck to him and I hope he has a great and safe journey. We then had our 2nd climb right after we met Spencer and it was a doozy. After that it was great sailing again. We tried to get a room in Enderlin but the one hotel was booked. We kept trying hoping they would have a cancellation but no luck so we are in the park. Here’s to hoping we have another tail wind tomorrow heading into Fargo.

Today's ride: 76 miles (122 km)
Total: 2,423 miles (3,899 km)
