Taling Ngam to Hin Ta Hin Yai: Deep into the tourist area
After a swim and breakfast, plus a bit of work, we cycled the ten kilometers to the Samui Beach Resort with a stop for lunch at a local Chinese eatery along the way. Hainanese Fried chicken that was delicious and, at fifty baht, back in the non-tourist price range.
The Samui Beach Resort is what I always imagined a busy Euro-centric resort would be like but we knew that is what we would be getting ourselves into. I must admit the staff are friendly and efficient.
A quick swim in the sea and the pool followed by a beer and we are ready for an afternoon map. The pressures of having a few days off.
Leigh spent the afternoon getting close to completing her Korean movie - she still has to start the movie on the Japan leg of this tour.
Supper was dreadful, over-priced, tourist-quality Pad Thai at a restaurant in the main street of the village.
Today's ride: 11 km (7 miles)
Total: 4,298 km (2,669 miles)
