Koh Kong: Waiting for the rain to stop (and other excuses)
The rain bucketed down last night and most of today. We postponed riding on eastwards and spent the day working. Surely that's a valid excuse ? We have more time in Cambodia than we need because we can't arrive in Vietnam before the 9th of October so there is no rush to move on.
We'll probably only get as far as Tatai tomorrow so that we can start the big climb out of there at sunrise. After that the route should take us through Trapeang Rung, Andoung Teuk and Srae Ambel and on to Sihanoukville. We might make a diversion to Chi Phat from Andoung Teuk depending on the condition of the unsealed roads after all of this rain - there is always the option of taking a boat up the river instead of cycling.
