Klang to Kuala Lumpur: Thank goodness for a cycle path
The reason for us spending the night in Klang was that I had read about the bicycle path (although this is mostly a motorcycle path) that leads all the way from Klang to Chinatown in central Kuala Lumpur. Armed with this knowledge and that we had a short ride, we only got going at around nine o'clock this morning. The path was all we hoped it would be and apart from the motorcycles wizzing past us, it was a pretty easy if hot ride. There are actually two paths, one in either direction, so the path is remarkably stress free despite the motorcycles.

Our hotel in Chinatown, the Amigo, has tiny little rooms but has a great reputation for good service. Unfortunately, we can't get the bicycles into our room so they are chained up in the lobby.
We will be spending the next four nights here so that we can organize 60 day visas for our passage through Thailand (visa free entry only gives thirty days and we don't think that will be enough for the distance we need to cover).
Today's ride: 35 km (22 miles)
Total: 3,029 km (1,881 miles)
