Ha Tien to Phu Quoc: Back onto the islands
We hadn't made a booking for the ferry to Phu Quoc (it is recommended that one does so) so we were on our bicycles and off to the ferry port by six thirty. We got our tickets but only for the eight o'clock boat - it seems that the seven thirty trip was already full. So we bought some banh mi for breakfast and sat and waited for our boat. The next boat was only in the afternoon so we were quite lucky to get seats.

Once on the other side it was a short if not hot ride across the island to Viet Tanh resort which we had booked via Booking.Com. It is a rather tired old place but right on the beach. First duty was to get into the sea to cool off followed by a cold beer.
Lunch was a rare crappy meal in Vietnam - grilled pork and rice (sườn heo nướng) at a place in the main street - so after sundowners on the beach we tried one of the more touristy places and got bland tourist versions of Vietnamese food at tourist prices.
Today's ride: 16 km (10 miles)
Total: 6,571 km (4,081 miles)
