Guamni to Chuncheon: Almost completing the Bukangang side route
A late start saw us on our way to Chuncheon to complete the Bukhangang side route. Despite the elevation chart showing a few bumps, the route seemed mostly flat and the weather was cooler so we arrived in Chuncheon without much effort.
The route up to Chuncheon is littered with what appear to weekend destinations to where the residents of Seoul escape, with lots of fun things to do like watersking, fishing and drinking coffee while sitting near a fancy bicycle wearing fancy cycling clothes.
We were surprised to see a familiar statue on the banks of the Chuncheon Dam.
Chuncheon itself is an uninspiring town. We have checked into a motel on its southern outskirts where we will do some work before heading back down to the main trail tomorrow.
