Kobe
There's not a great deal that can be said about today and very little of that positive.
Our route to Kobe was about sixty percent on pretty good cycle paths (that's the positive bit) but the rain chucked down the whole way. At kleast the rain kep the pedestrians off the sidewalks which made the last thirty kilometers a lot easier than they might have been.
We got here, to a pretty unexceptional hotel in the middle of the city, soaked to the skin and just pleased that the day was over.
Tomorrow we head for Himeji, where we hope to visit the famous castle before catching a ferry to Shikoku.
Today's ride: 85 km (53 miles)
Total: 2,254 km (1,400 miles)
