Ferry to Tsuruga
Today was never going to be particularly exciting so about the best I can do is post a few pictures of the view of Niigata from our 28th floor hotel room.

After checking out of our hotel at ten - the latest we possibly could - we cycled the handful of kilometers to the ferry terminal where we sat and worked for the next few hours. Not an exciting day.
The ferry itself was far bigger than we expected and very comfortable. We stayed on deck during departure until it started to get too dark, had a quick visit to the sento (the artificial version of an onsen) and had a canteen level supper before hitting the sack.
Today's ride: 5 km (3 miles)
Total: 2,006 km (1,246 miles)
