Nipigon to Rossport
Yesterday's early night didn't happen as planned, but as I managed an afternoon nap after returning from the library to use their wifi it didn't matter too much. Nevertheless, today was a no alarm day, to catch up on sleep, and because it is Canada Day!
The terrain is noticeably hillier now, and the temperature seems to have risen again too. After what seemed like an eternity we stopped at Rossport, another great town with super friendly people, and had lunch in the shade of a caboose which houses the town's museum.
Tyler, a guy I was chatting to at Nipigon, suggested looking for a camping spot on Lakeshore Road, just outside Rossport. After spotting what must be the perfect wild camping spot, out of view of everybody on a piece of rock jutting out, with swimming and water clean enough to drink untreated, the rest of the day was decided, with a lazy Canada Day afternoon, lots of swimming, and a fire to finish the day off. Perfect.
