Day off in Courtenay
Having had a great sleep and caught up with what I missed out on last night, we got ready for a day of mountain biking, my first time on a proper trail, and first time on a bike with any form of suspension. And disk brakes!
We went to Hornby Island, which was good not only because it meant 2 ferries each way, but it was a great location for mountain biking, with some very well designed courses of varying degrees of difficulty, many of which were suitable to a beginner like myself. To say that it was great fun would be a huge understatement. Thanks again Nigel and Dan.
