Bob is in Shepherdstown today. I’m in D.C. 

Here are a few things we noticed:

1.  The weather was warmer than predicted. we were both glad we packed -  Bob a short  sleeved shirt- Me a pair of riding shorts vs all capris.

2. My 45mm wide tires were easier to handle in the mud than his 38 mm tires. 

3. The weather apps were very valuable for avoiding storms while riding even if we only had signals in towns. We only got sprinkled on 1 day for 12 miles. 

4. Ride with GPS came  in handy on days we had no cell service to check our location. 

5. A little over half of the B &B’s had a power source for recharging in the bike storage area. Several times I needed to remove the battery and recharge in the room. 

6. The only clothing we packed and didn’t wear was cold weather gear and our rain pants.
