Grapes, Grapes, and Wine

Our chilly misty morning turned into a beautiful sunny day. Riding past many vineyards growing up steep hills with harvesting in process. Stopped along the way to enjoy river views. Explored towns with buildings from the 1400s. Visited a small family winery and had a wine tasting.

A chilly misty morning

Then if it is going to be a red or rose wine the juice and the skins and the seeds are let to sit in big containers, the skins and seeds float to the top and periodically they are pushed down into the juice. The juice from red and dark grapes is generally clear so the skins and seeds give it the color
