Pre Ride - Getting Ready to Cycle the Erie Canal

Joined the crowd of 750 cyclists and volunteers at Nichols School in Buffalo. Left behind the car and began our camping cycling journey across NY state. Pitching our tents amid hundreds of tents! Placement is everything, close to the porta potties but not too close… Tonight, intro talks on the history of the Erie Canal, welcome talks, and the do’s and don’ts of bike fitting. Music on the lawn and a buffet style dinner. Lots of choices for all food needs and preferences.
