Linz, for Linzer Tort
Less rain, a few bright spots
This morning we said goodbye to Faust Schlossel our hotel or “little castle”. We started out with a little rain and lots of clouds but nothing like yesterday. Our rain gear kept us dry today. We had a couple of light showers and mostly smooth flat trail /road with a strong wind at our back at one point. It was happier riding today for sure!
On our way this morning from Aschach to Enns, the oldest town in Austria, we stopped by Linz to sample the Linzer torte and was it wonderful!

Today when we crossed the river we went across at a power station where the generate electricity from water power. The water pouring out of it was amazingly strong.
We got to Enns mid afternoon so went out to explore then back to the hotel for wine and a fabulous dinner.
While we were out exploring we visited the Roman museum. Enns was an important part of the Roman Empire and there was a large Roman presence here in 200 to 400.
